RECENT SUCCESSES
St. Joseph, Marietta, GA
St. Joseph Parish in Marietta, GA, a vibrant bilingual community comprising 5,000 families, successfully completed a transformative fundraising initiative in June 2024. With an initial goal of $5 million, the parish exceeded expectations by raising over $6.2 million. This remarkable achievement reflects the strong dedication and generosity of its members.
The funds raised will facilitate several key projects essential for the parish’s growth and enhancement. These include the construction of a new rectory to better serve the clergy and parish administration, the expansion of the parish parking lot to accommodate increasing attendance, the development of a playfield and soccer field to foster community engagement and youth activities, and the revitalization of the church to provide an uplifting worship environment.
The success of this fundraising campaign underscores the unity and commitment of St. Joseph Parish, Marietta, as it continues to meet the evolving needs of its expanding community.
St. Thomas More, Sarasota, FL
In January 2023, St. Thomas More initiated the “Our Church…Our Future” campaign, with the ambitious target of raising $2,500,000 through pledges and donations from both parish families and seasonal visitors. The campaign’s goal was strategically set at 2.5 times the 2022 parish offertory. The response from the parish community was nothing short of remarkable. Over 253 parish households attended a reception, showcasing their unwavering support and dedication. Through their enthusiastic participation, they rallied together, contributing an astounding 4.8 times their 2022 offertory total. The funds raised from the campaign were dedicated to essential parish projects that aimed to enhance the physical and spiritual sanctity of their campus. These projects encompassed much-needed renovations, including roof replacements, HVAC improvements, window repairs, and beautification through painting. With a united sense of purpose and shared vision, the St. Thomas More community has exemplified the spirit of generosity and devotion, paving the way for a brighter, more promising future for their cherished church and the boundless impact it will have on the lives of its members and beyond.
St. Peter Cathedral, Marquette, MI
St. Peter Cathedral is one of the historic landmarks in the state of Michigan. Parish leadership began dialogue with Guidance In Giving to address important preservation and restoration projects in 2019. However, due to the pandemic, the start of the campaign was delayed until early 2023. Proceeds from the campaign will be directed toward three areas of need: repairing the stone work of the Twin Bell Towers, replacing the flooring and seating in the Choir Loft, and enhancing and restoring the Sanctuary by reintroducing the Tabernacle and extending the Altar. The overall estimated financial need to accomplish these projects is $2 million. Guidance In Giving estimated $1 – 1.5 million (2 – 3x times offertory) or more could be raised in a successful campaign. To date, over $1.6 million has been pledged!
Holy Spirit, Fargo, ND
In the Fall of 2022, Holy Spirit conducted a campaign campaign to Replace their entire HVAC/Boiler System & Rebuild their school. The parishioners came together as one parish and shared their blessings. They were able to raise just under the needed $4 Million, which is remarkable at over 4 times their 2021 offertory.
Cathedral of Christ the King, Superior, WI
For the second time in 10 years the dynamic Cathedral staff and parish leadership outperformed Guidance In Giving’s expectations. In both the initial Forward In Faith campaign (2013) and the more recent Cathedral Centennial campaign (fall of 2022) over $1.7 million was raised, easily exceeding 3x/times offertory. This spring (2023) the parking lot and concrete work begins. An array of additional projects will follow, including the restoration of the church building, as well as technology updates to the lighting, sound, video and elevator operation systems.

The parishioners responded positively every step of the way, and by the end of the campaign over 30% of the parish had participated, a number not so easily reached in Catholic fundraising, especially in a parish of their size.
Parish of the Holy Spirit, Keene, NH
Guidance In Giving partnered with the Parish of the Holy Spirit in Keene, NH for their Honoring The Past, Embracing Our Future capital campaign with incredible success in the summer of 2022! The campaign will fund the office relocation to and renovation of the rectory. It will also provide for much needed, building, grounds and parking lot repairs at each of its three church campuses and the St. Joseph (Keene) cemetery within the parish. More than 83% of the active parish has stepped up to participate in this remarkable effort, raising more than 150% of its target goal of $1.3M.
St. John Neumann, Columbia, SC
In 2018, St. John Neumann undertook their first capital campaign toward the construction of a new church and hall. Moving forward, in the spring of 2022 it was announced by Fr. Sandy McDonald a second capital campaign, Building Church Together, would be conducted in partnership with Guidance In Giving to secure the remaining funds needed to complete the plan. The Building Church Together campaign has raised an additional $3.1 million in pledges (103% of goal!), adding to the $4.1M in the bank, thus allowing St. John Neumann to start construction in early 2023.

The parish named their campaign United in Faith, United in Mission and they successfully raised $3.1 million (103% of goal!) for Sanctuary Beautification, Diocese of Memphis Capital Campaign Portion, Evangelization & Spiritual Growth and Catholic Education.
Diocese of Worcester, MA
The success of this diocesan campaign, raising over $32.5 million, with all the obstacles and challenges introduced by the Covid-19 pandemic over the last two and a half years, is nothing short of miraculous. Led by the efforts of Bishop McManus, the pastors and administrators of the various parishes, diocesan and parish leaders and volunteers and, of course the donors and parishioners who gave their time, talent and treasure, the diocesan family of Worcester was not only able to meet, but ultimately surpass its goal. Guidance In Giving is honored to have had the opportunity as Counsel in providing direction and engagement throughout the entire campaign process from the initial feasibility study through the ultimate success of this historic campaign.
As of August 2022, parishes have received $7,230,798 back in parish shares. These funds are improving parish life throughout Worcester County as church properties are being renovated, ministries and service programs funded and the mission of the Catholic Church continues.
