Project Description
Good Shepherd ran a combined campaign during the ONE campaign for the Diocese of Sacramento. They borrowed $4.5 million from the Sacramento Diocese to build their new church, which was completed in 2010. At the start of the campaign the parish still owed the diocese $4,366,311. The recommended goal was $1.8 million and was set to $2 million by the committee. The parish guaranteed $562,662 to fulfill their part in the ONE campaign. The parish also needed an estimated $300,000 for parish projects including a new sound system, expansion of parish facilities, and improvements to the rectory. The remaining funds would be used to reduce the parish debt. The campaign was a great success and the parish was able to raise over $2.25 million dollars.
