Project Description
The Church of St. Mary is a vibrant parish and a model for serving those in need in downtown Wilmington. As they approached their Centennial Celebration, the parish had a long list of items they wanted to complete to update their aging buildings. St. Mary’s parish partnered with Guidance In Giving to pay off their debt, replace the old boiler and build an elevator for the Tileston Center, put a new roof on the lower school building, continue their missionary activities in Honduras, contribute to their School and Parish Endowment Funds, as well as a host of other projects and finally participate in the Diocese of Raleigh’s Our Cathedral: One Faith, One People Campaign to build a Cathedral Campus in Raleigh.
The Church of St. Mary raised over $2.2 million to complete all the necessary projects.
