A team of 11 young, energetic Catholics from Guidance In Giving just completed the fourth of six blocks in the Archdiocese of Newark. Our team conducted over 650 receptions to share the campaign news and needs to over 14,000 parishioners throughout the Archdiocese. To date, over $72 million has been raised to support the Retired Priest Care & Medical Needs Endowment, the Parish Renewal Fund, the Seminarian Support Endowment, Works of Mercy, the Tuition Assistance Endowment and Parish Share. This campaign has infused over $4.5 million into the parishes for local needs. The final two blocks will be completed by June of 2017 with redemption continuing until 2021.

ARCHDIOCESE OF NEWARK PASTOR TESTIMONIALS
“When we first began the We Are Living Stones campaign, it was with trepidation that I contemplated the goal set forth for Mount Carmel. It seemed unreachable. It still comes as a great shock to me that pledges stand at 139% of goal.

“The immediate effect of the campaign is visible as parishioners who participated now feel like they are active members of the parish who are taking ownership of their church, which all stemmed from their generous contribution to the campaign. For many families, especially in the Hispanic community, their financial contribution has been their biggest way of participating in the parish. Only six months after completing the campaign, we have begun and completed two small projects in the rectory and two projects on the church campus.
We are forever grateful for the work [our GIG Director] and Guidance In Giving put forth to make this campaign the success that it was. I would highly recommend Guidance In Giving to any parish, diocese, or school that seeks direction for a capital campaign.”

“The campaign plan your firm espouses brought our parish families together around common needs and gently invited everyone to make a financial pledge to help meet our goal. [Our GIG Director] has a very clear understanding of Stewardship and helped our parish think beyond our normal giving to truly sacrificially give. I am very happy with our results to date and look forward to recommending Guidance in Giving and [our GIG Director] to other parishes in need of assistance with parish Stewardship and Capital Campaigns.”
