Holy Family, Galveston, TX

In 2021, Holy Family Parish embarked on its One Faith, One Family capital campaign, an ambitious effort to unite Catholics across Galveston Island and the Bolivar Peninsula under one spiritual and physical home. The campaign, initiated under the leadership of Fr. Jude Ekenedilichukwu Ezuma sought to raise funds for the first phase of the parish’s long-term master plan. This phase included the renovation of the former convent to house new parish offices, the creation of modern meeting and ministry spaces, and the addition of expanded parking to serve the growing community. Through the generosity of over 200 households, Holy Family raised more than $2.5 million in pledges. This achievement reflects the remarkable dedication of a parish family still rebuilding and renewing after the devastation of Hurricane Ike, and determined to provide future generations with a center for worship, fellowship, and faith formation. As the parish continues its journey toward realizing a permanent Parish Life Center, it celebrates the blessings of a community that continues to live out its name, one Holy Family in faith, generosity, and hope for the future.
